It was produced by Reel FX Creative Studios and directed by Jorge Gutierrez. The producers are Aaron Berger, Guillermo de Toro, Brad Booker, Carina Schulze and Aron Warner. One of the notable things about the film is that it has numerous supernatural elements that disappear into the underworld and pop up back again.The movie which was set in Mexico, tells the story of a love triangle between Manolo (Diego Luna) and Joaquin (Tatum Channing) who are vying for a romantic affair with Maria (Zoe Saldana). La Muerte (Kate de Castillo) and Xibalba (Perlman Ron) are both rulers of different realms, each having some superhuman abilities. Xibalba is planning to expand his dominion to cover La Muerteà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬s domain. The two rulers make a bet involving the three mentioned characters involved in the love triangle. The bet was that if Maria matures and m arries Manolo, Xibalba would no longer interfere with the fate of humans, but in the event that she marries Joaquin, he would take over La Muerteà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬s dominion. Both La Muerte and Xibalba uses their mystic powers to influence the lives of Manolo and Joaquin based on whom each one of them favors.The movieà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬s scores highly in scenery, animation and music. In the music it can be rated above average bearing in mind that it is an animated film. The songs may not be pleasant enough for downloading, but they are fun to listen to when watching, and they donà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬t sluggi...
